2:00 am and I just got in bed.
Made it home, woulda been sooner, but there was construction, and LOTS of cops out btwn ft collins and denver so I behaved myself on that stretch, no point in getting a ticket at the end of the trip!
All the kitties have come out to see me and they dont hate me! yay!
Everything has been unloaded from the car and is safely inside, all doors will be locked from now on at all times!!
Had to fix the freezer when I got back but it should be okay by morning I need to call them and tell them i figured out what the problem is.
Josh left a brand new down comforter and 2 new fluffy hotel pillows for me (he snagged'em from the hotel he works at hehehe)
Ellie slept a majority of the way home, but it seems she may still be tired so we're off to bed, gotta be up in 5 hours to get ready for work, oh joy!
Will catch up on VOX and everything else internet related over the next day or so hopefully!
Sorry I'm too lazy to re-size and put these all in some kind of order, soooo use your imagination (=
If was hot out, and I was not hungover this year, however Ellie was acting a fool!
We were at a stop light on a side road, almost to the event, and she JUMPED OUT THE CAR WINDOW. I flipped the eff out, jumped outta the car myself and got her back in and whooped her ass in front of everyone. The car in front of us had a dog in it as well, and when it saw what she did, it almost jumped out too!
I think she just gets over whelmed when theres a LOT of people around because this girl was tryin to tie her ribbon on to her and she was flipping out and wouldnt let her do it so i had to, and when it was picture time, trying to get her to cooperate was nearly impossible, ill have to scan that pic in later.
I finally got off my ass and did stuff today.
Started off with going to 7-11 for a Cappuccino and a Mt dew.
My room is clean, new sheets on the bed, everywhere is vacuumed, and the kitchen is finally cleaned up. It was a total mess and yucky.
Went to target and used some coupons for some new febreeze, and wall unit air freshener, and a new swiffer.
Also picked up a bag of frozen pot stickers, and they were SUPER yummy.
I cleaned the bunnies, and clipped their nails. They're currently sitting out on the porch gettin some fresh air. Chester wasn't up to getting photographed today, other than being in the cage..
Kisa heard the camera and came running to pose for it
I took Ellie to the dog park this evening to burn off some energy
Within 5 minutes she started 2 fights. I tried to entertain her with a ball and running around, but I dunno what was with her. so after the 2nd one, she got her butt whooped in front of everyone and we left. Such a waste of gas on my part.
I usually tell her as we get out of the car, "Behave YOURSELF, no fighting"... but i didnt this time, I wonder if she actually knows what that means.
Dogs do know as much as a 2 year old ya know..
She knows "wheres your ball?"
but "where's your rope/bone/anything else" also means "wheres your ball" lol...
She knows "UP" to get in the car
"potty"
"STOP CHASING THE DAMN CATS" - knows but doesnt care
"get the kitty"
"wanna go?"
So now, shes pretty much behaving herself, doing her normal barking at everyone who walks by outside.
Maybe tomorrow ill find something to do to wear her out.
I decided NOT to go over to the old apt today because I just wanted to chill, and rest up.
However, I got home to a pile of dog puke and diarrhea. Super awesome surprise. I guess she was stressed from the move, she did the same thing last year.
Work sucked, well a little, i was still in pain, and when I showed up, my boss said "Damn looks like moving kicked your ass!" And I told him about my urgent care trip and all that...
It was nice though because the girl next to me wasnt there, and the other bitchy girl didnt show up till 12 so it was calm and quiet and less bitchy than normal.
Did anyone watch DWTS last night? What happened to Melissa is basically how I felt, Blinding pain from the ribs.
So tonight I did laundry woo!! in my own house double woo!! set up the couch and coffee table, set up most of the bathroom, for now, till I get it how I want it, and decided, that for now, the one door to the bathroom will remain closed in order to keep the litter box in the bathroom.
I also set up my shoes on my shelfy-shoe thingy that i've been using for a while, however it doesnt fit in either closet, so I had to put it at the foot of my bed. But it doesnt look bad, i dont think.
I finally found out where the garbage dumpster is... its at the end of the hallway allllllllll the way down the other side of the buildilng. A nice guy outside walking his lil dog informed me of where it was. So that kicks ass.
My leasing agent SHOULD be dropping my mail key off sometime tomorrow. And they SHOULD also be putting a screen on my bedroom window asap.
Tomorrow after work im gonna have to go over to the old place and kick ass and try to get everything done, if not ill have to finish on Thursday.
Thank goodness friday is payday, looking forward to happy hour!!!
Lookit Ellie, instead of sleeping on HER bed, she claims a pile of pillows and blankets...
I guess Moving really takes a lot out of her.. not that she did much more than supervise (ie. watch us carry heavy things).
I managed to get my bed set up last night, however i didnt sleep for shit since I was in so much pain, and it being a new place and all, and the dog kept waking up to every new sound she heard...
I got all the cable & internet set up, after I called comcast like 93874 times and TOLD them what needed to be done and how to do it... I havent worked there in over a year, and I still remember step by step, and those new people are just idiots.
Tomorrow Ill probably be finishing up the old place and doing the carpets, today I'm just too exhausted and hurting.. my rib area feels a little swollen, so I might as well take it easy for a day. Probably finish cleaning up the kitchen and putting away the rest of my dry foods, and figuring out where the hell Im going to put the litter box, and maybe set up my couch and closet.. that's "taking it easy" right? Ü
Last night i had Ellie sleep in her kennel since ATC was over...
Around 1 am she kept making noise and grunting and licking things and rearranging her bed, and so finally i got up and decided to take her out real quick since i didnt before bed...
Well it was a damn good thing I did because she had like explosive diarrhea aka kenny style
So around 530 ish, she started in with the same whining and moving around, so i jumped up and took her outside again, this time in the rain...
She continued with the diarrhea and also threw in some projectile vomiting.. that was great.. at least it was outside in the grass...
I brought her back in again and gave her a single piece of wheat bread, which she happily ate, i didnt bother putting her back in the kennel since she looked so miserable, i just let her sleep next to us in the bed.. my poor baby.
I called into work today just to make sure she was doin okay and wasn't going to continue with the projectile bodily functions.. she only threw up once in the living room some time this morning so thats okay . . . she seems to be feeling a lot better now, i gave her a cup of dry food and some water and she was playin and wrestlin with ATC and chasing the cats as normal.. so hopefully all is well, she's now taking a nap on the bed with me. . . . .
I really don't feel bad about calling into work, i mean, ppl call in when their kids get a fever, well i dont have any kids.. she's what I got and if shes ill.. well ill be here for her.
So about a month or so ago, Ellie and I were at PetSmart, and this lady came up to me and asked me what kind of dog she was, so I replied, "Dutch Shepherd". And in her snooty retort said Uh no I DONT THINK SO, I said yes, she is a short haired, they come in different varieties, as do most dogs.... she said She RAISED them for years and years, and Ellie was just NOT one of them....As politely as I could, I excused myself from the convo, before I let ellie eat her face off..
Now when I adopted her, the shelter did not know what she was, they said "shepherd mix" she was picked up in New Mexico and brought up here for adoption... So doing my research, the closest thing i could find that looked like her was dun dun dun.. the Dutch Shepherd...
Take a look for yourself.. no 2 dogs look alike, but shes pretty damn close to all of these. and has all the traits that they posess. Herding, Alert, Hyper, Excitable, Protective, etc.
True to its origins, the Dutch Shepherd Dog has established itself alongside such well-known working breeds as the German Shepherd Dog and the Belgian Shepherd Dog. The Dutch Shepherd Dog (Hollandse Herdershond for the Dutch) can be found herding sheep, guarding home and hearth, in rescue work, police work and as drugs detection dogs in international ports and airports. Several Dutch Shepherds have become renowned for their prowess and ability.
