I wanna go back to bed

Comments

Okay, here's my totally unsolicited advice/commentary. I have no kids, but based on the people I know who've birthed kids, the best way to do it is sooner rather than later. I've got a friend who's my age--36--and she has a 16-year old daughter. In two years she'll be free again @ 38. Another friend waited until she was 34 to have her first kid. She's got a fricking 2-year old. She's exhausted, she's burned out, and she has 16 more years to look forward to. If you actually want to birth a kid, do it now. Otherwise, the long-term BC is a good idea. (As for me--I'm planning to adopt some older kids.)
Yeah, thats what Im thinking, but Im in no financial position right now, to start poppin out any kids, nor do I have anyone I'm with that I'd like to deal with for the next at least 18 years if not more. If i'm gonna do it, I wanna do it "right". Husband, kids, home, picket fence.. LoL..
Just when I thought the "husband, kids, home, picket fence" would never happen for me, B showed up well into my 30th year. Now that I'm 33, we have a beautiful home, we're getting married next month, and we're going to try for a baby asap. I couldn't be happier, and I'm SO GLAD I didn't rush into anything at a younger age just to have aforementioned dream realized. Everybody is different. You may change your mind about what you want tomorrow, you just never know! So my two cents is, don't make any long-term decisions now, when you might have/want totally different stuff in a heartbeat.
Cheers,

yay that sounds great for you guys!
Thanks - and believe me, when I'm staying up all night with a colicky baby I'll envy you and your youthful freedom, so enjoy it while you can! ;) It may sound cheesy, but you'll get what you need/want when you really need/want it, I swear.
Cheers,
