Am I Mathematically Challenged?
For some reason, this just doesn't seem right to me...
Yearly Pay / 12 months / 2 Checks a month / 80hrs per check = Hourly pay right?
or, is it
Yearly Pay / 52 weeks / 40hrs week = Hourly pay?
Cuz each way, I come out with a different amount. I don't know if i'm getting jipped or what... maybe I'm just retarded, but I'd think, using a calculator, that it should be correct... someone help me.

12x2x80x12=1920 hours
52x40=2080 hours
There are a couple of months that you'll get 3 paychecks instead of 2, Sara. So it'll be correct if you do it the second way --- You're missing 2 paychecks if you do it the first way.
See what I mean?
well yeah, i guess that makes sense then..
and that sucks, because thats the figure in which i make less money, so my paycheck actually is correct. Bummer.
Thanks for the insight!
Do you get paid 2 times a month, or every two weeks?
Cause 12 months is 24 pays......and bi-weekly is 26 pays (52 weeks)
You still make the same amount of money, just divided differently. I get paid bi-weekly, and R gets paid 2x a month.
There are times when it seems like we haven't had a pay in forever...and there are times when we get paid either together or every week.....
